Every year on Christmas Eve someone from my dad’s family hosts a big bash. Seeing my huge family on this very special day fills my heart with a joyful spirit. It takes much work to prepare for this event, but everyone chips in. The weekend after Thanksgiving, family members come together to make home-made ravioli. Believe me, it’s much easier said then done. This tradition started with my Great-Grandma. Though I still have to wait another year to reach the age limit to help, I know my grandparents, mom, dad, aunts, uncles, and older cousins worked hard to continue ravioli making. Next year, I can’t wait to take part of this responsibility. It all pays off though, because on Christmas Eve we all celebrate together, and feast on ravioli! This family event is something I love and am looking forward to!
