Winter Break

Filed under: Uncategorized — ritenour at 2:12 pm on Thursday, February 26, 2009

I hope all of you had a wonderful winter break.  For the most part, I was busy puppy proofing my house. (I didn’t finish!)  Morgan reminded me that I need to make sure I don’t have any electrical cords or plants on the floor.  They are both harmful to puppies.

Near the end of the week, Mr. Ritenour and I went to a place called German Village.  It is located in Columbus, Ohio.  There were a lot of cool shops, restaurants, and  a book store that had 32 rooms full of books!  We also found a fudge shop…well, our noses found it. (If you are in my class  you know that Mr. Ritenour and I love chocolate!)  We bought some fudge and it was delicious.

For lunch we ate at a restaurant called Thurman’s Cafe’.  They are famous for their burgers and have been featured on the Travel Channel.  Luckily, Mr. Ritenour and I split a burger because they were huge! (By the way, the burger WAS delicious!)

I’d love to know what you did during winter break, other than sleeping late!

See ya in Room 19!

Love,

Mrs. R.

Winter break was fun. the only problem was I brokeout in hives. That wasn’t fun. I played with my brothers and sister and slept in. I also went to my uncle’s and we had a great time. The best part was no school for a week! So that’s how my winter break went.

During my Winter break I didn’t do much. My sister and stepsister walked to the Civic and saw, “Twilight” and I really enjoyed it. We also saw, “Confessions of a Shpoiholic”. My sister, Jaclyn, really wanted to see it so whenever a certin part came up she repeated it over and over. I enjoyed the movies alot, but between, “Twilight” and “Confessions of a Shopiholic” I enjoyed “Twilight the most. It was cool.

Hi Mrs.Ritenour, Over my winter break on sunday I went to the hospital to get an x-ray to see if there was anything in my lungs.
The next day I went to a baby shower. At the baby shower I sat next to two twins, Biancah and Angelica they are really smart babies. Alicia gave me this blueberry flavor chapstick and Biancah picked it up, opened it and put some on then gave some to her sister. Angelica put it on then gave it back to me. It was covered in baby drool. Of course I threw it away. Well that’s some of what I did over break.

Christy-
I also saw Twilight. I enjoyed the movie but thought the book was much better. I haven’t seen the “Shopaholic” movie yet.

My winter break was absolutly fantastic! On the first weekend I had a awesome time playing with my cousins who came in to visit. I also had a basketball game AND a soccer game. (BONUS!) For the rest of the week my grandparents baby-sat. Whatever we were doing,(going to the movies, lunch, or just hanging out) my brother, grandparents and I had loads of fun, filled with great memories. Also, on Friday I went to my friend’s school for the day. After, she and I went to her house. That was a super day as well!
All in all, my break was enjoyable- both the things I did and the people I spent it with!

Hello Mrs.Ritenour. As you probably know already, I got braces. When I first got them, I the assistant to the orthodontist has to get some molds of my teeth.
she got this stuff kinda like clay and asked me what flavor did I want. I chose peppermint flavor. Once she got the mold of my bottom teeth i had to redo it because something went wrong. I hated it. It wasn’t the flavor it was just kinda of unusual and i was out of my little comfort zone. Next I had to go brush my teeth. I had brushed my teeth like fifty times that day. After that I moved to a different chair. I got a mini teeth cleaning in the new chair. Then I was told I had to keep this air tube in my mouth for the rest of the procedure. I got my bottom brackets cemented on rinsed out my mouth then had the top ones put on. Next it was wire time. Once I got those babies put in, I got instruction on how to take care of my mouth steel. Then it was off into the open world with a bunch of shiny jewelry in my mouth. That took 2 hours.
I wonder how Princess Bella is doing….

during my winter break I went a couple different places. One of them was the Detroit science center where you can learn about how things work, and the history behind many things that involve science. My favorite part was the space exibit,it had a couple models of rockets. You could also make a rocket out of a bottle. We went to great lakes crossing mall to get my mom her mother’s day present it took a while. I had a pretty fun winter break

Alexis,

I hope your mouth is not sore!

I also wonder how Princess Bella is doing today. I heard she is very playful and likes to follow her mother around the puppy play yard.

Hello Mrs. Ritenour, I beleive you wish for me to tell you what I did over break. For starters I went to Atlanta Georgia. Ivisitted my Uncle Scott and Aunt Kathalene. Plus I got to meet my Uncle Keith and Aunt Jenie. We had plenty of fun so that was interesting. Then we flew back (note: I flew by plane to Georgia.) Then on Monday my mother and I went to Ohio to either stay for three days or to head there then leave the next day with my grandma to head back to Michigan. We picked up my grandma and off we went. She is still here. Well that’s myvacation in a nutshell. Good-bye Mrs. Ritenour (P.S. I aslo got two bionicles.)

On winter break I helped my mom with taking care of my baby sister like feeding her when she is hungary I also helped my mom with the dishes and puting them in the right place. I went to the theatre to Coreline in 3-D it funny and I think it is fiction or fantasy and I liked that movie. The movie was about this one girl who moves into a new house then she find a new world in her own home.

Hi Mrs. Ritenour. Over break I went to my grandma’s house for a day. Three hours before I left we went to the Bocanical gardens. It’s a place with things from the Rain Forests and things from Deserts. When they took me home all i did for the rest of the week was Play video games, watch t.v, and play with my big dog, Bailey. It was an awesome weekend.

During winter break I went to Cancun, Mexico. There I stayed t the Grand Oasis Beach Caribbean Resort. The Oasis hotels are scattered around Cncun and we had access to all of them. I think that the Grand Oasis Cancun had the coolest lobby. It was a jungle theme. They also had HUGE waves there. But sadly the red flag was up so no one could swim. But we were aloud to stand on the rocks on the edge of the ocean and let the waves touch us. Also there was this big hill with a jungle-like thicket of trees where geckos and peacocks roamed. At or hotel we had a bar that was on the edge of the pool so you could swim up to it and get a frozen drink or pop. In the ocean I saw a jellyfish swimming. Not knowing what it was my cousin Joey touched it and got shocked. When it was time to go home we were all sad, but by the time we reached the airport we all just wanted to get home. At the airport I had a great burrito at this mexican place called guacamole. Pretty lame name eh? But I’m glad to be back here at Longacre.
